Why did you write Talent Unleashed?

In this highly acclaimed book, A. Roger Merrill and Rebecca R. Merrill show readers how to navigate the critical relationships between time and money, work and family, to create a harmonious, success-enhancing dynamic.
"This book is a great read, especially if you have a family, where balance in life is paramount!" --Larry King, host of "Larry King Live"
" . . a gold mine of practical, achievable ideas that will really make a difference." --Ken Blanchard, coauthor, The One Minute Manager(R)
A unique, visually stunning and conceptually powerful business book, The Nature of Leadership presents inspiring photos by former National Geographic photographer Dewitt Jones as well as interviews, quotes, and narratives by bestselling authors Dr. Stephen R. Covey and A. Roger Merrill (who also contributed photos to the book).
"I love this book. It's the only time I've actually experienced leadership on the pages of a book. It's not only about the nature of leadership, it is also about the nature of being human." --Warren Bennis, Distinguished Professor of Business Administration University of Southern California and author of Becoming a Leader and Organizing Genius.
First Things First applies the insights of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to the daily problems of people who must struggle with the ever-increasing demands of work and home life. Rather than focusing on time and change, this book emphasizes relationships, results and effectiveness.
"Profound and powerful, First Things First shines a brilliant light into the semi-darkness of time management techniques." -- Scott DeGarmo, editor-in-chief, Success Magazine.
Connections was the first book published by the Covey Leadership Center over twenty-five years ago. The principles in this classic are still valid today.
"Roger Merrill's book Connections is an excellent contribution for all individuals who want to connect their real attitudes, beliefs and actions in the world." --Charles Garfield Author of Peak Performers - The New Heros of American Business
Collaborating with other thought leaders is and has been an important part of my education and contribution. I hope to be able to continue this pattern in the years ahead.
Working with the team at the Covey Leadership Center to support Stephen as this classic was being created was a key formative experience for me. My wife, Rebecca, was Stephens's chief assistant in the writing, so I had a particularly unique opportunity to learn from Stephen and Rebecca and contribute from time to time. In a similar way I was able to play a part in the creation of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families.
Along with others, I had the opportunity to collaborate on this compilation of articles that represented our shared understanding of this important concept at the time.
I was privileged to be part of the collaborative team as Rebecca helped Stephen M.R. Covey (Stephen Covey's son) create this classic work on the all-important subject of trust.
Rebecca was the writing partner with Alan in creating this very valuable book on top performance. I learned a lot being part of the collaboration and continue to partner with Alan's firm, InsideOut Development.
